The Waters Building is currently under construction. The team is a one year into planned renovations, and big changes are becoming noticeable.
The remodel will now make use of excess open space. The Waters Building was built in 1898 during the height of Furniture City’s furniture boom. The structure was constructed to be used a showroom for various furniture manufactures. The open floor plan was designed to display merchandise. The new plans take advantage of every square foot of this valuable downtown property.
The renovated building will feature new office spaces, 3 restaurants, 3 Banks, a hair Salon, and apartments for lease. Many of the business tenants have already moved into their remodeled offices. The building will also become the home of the new Hilton Homewood Suites which will occupy the top five floors of the south wing.
